Confessions of a Thrifty Shopper - Autumn

Ahh, its September! Autumn brings its cooler temperatures which is welcomed after a long southern summer, college football, the holidays, and fall foliage. I am such a sucker for Autumn and Spring ... I patiently wait year round for the 2 times the season changes and welcomes new fresh views and scents, not to mention wardrobe changes, and home-renovations "even if its just moving furniture around to suffice for seasonal decor"

Being the thrifty-belle I am I have been hunting for new seasonal decorations for a couple of months now, and I spent the Labor Day weekend cleaning up around the house and preparing to "renovate" for Fall :) Here are some of the wonderful finds!




Now, of course you know I didn't pay full price for this! Kirklands had a printable coupon online for 20% off a single item.

I also found these wonderful woven vine pumpkins with white lights at Michael's on sale for Labor day! Orig. prices were Lg: $29.99 & Sm: $14.99 - $19.99 ... on sale there were Lg: $20.99 & Sm: $10.99.

Via an internet search I found these similar pumpkins at Kirlands & Pottery Barn; however, Michaels by far had the best prices.

Michaels also had 2 printable coupons online.

Beyond decor fall brings holidays and with holidays we have yummy goodies. I personally love candy corn and peanuts mixed together. It to me is the perfect October treat, and the fact that I can enjoy it in September is even better!
If you have never tried this treat its a must. Just mix a bag of candy corn and a 16 oz. can of salted peanuts together and enjoy! You wont be disappointed. Its the perfect Sweet & Salty combination.
